Indications
Protein electrophoresis identifies the proportions of total proteins in serum and is used to identify paraproteins (monoclonal proteins) seen in haematological malignancy
Comments/Precautions
Requests for electrophoresis will be analysed in conjunction with immunoglobulin levels
